Trading Card Game

The Pokémon Championships 2022-23 Philippines competition is back this year, to crown Philippines’s Number One Pokémon TCG Player!

To participate in the Trading Card Game category, players need to apply in advance through the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers Website. If the number of applications were to exceed the event’s capacity, participants will be selected through a lottery.

Pokémon Championships 2022-23 Philippines

  • To pre-apply for the competition through the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers Website, players must have registered a Player Account and have gotten a Player ID on the website.
  • You will be able to check the lottery result for your application by logging into the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers Website, in the My Page section.

    The promo cards’ stamped logo will differ depending on the player’s ranking.The stamp of the promo cards for finalists to Top 8 will be TOP8.For details of the prizes for all players, please check:click here
  • Supplies featuring the original designs will also be available.
    • Top players will be awarded Championship Points based on their final rankings in the event.
    • Final rankings will be posted by the next Friday after the event.
    • The highest ranking players on the Championship Points leaderboards will receive an invite for Day One of the 2023 Pokémon World Championships. Qualifying players will be contacted directly.
    • Players who qualify for a Travel Award will be contacted directly with details regarding their set trip schedule, arranged by The Pokémon Company. Please understand that no exceptions nor special adjustments can be made.

Important Notes

Regarding event participation:

  • Only pre-registered, qualified players will be allowed to participate in this event.
  • Minors should be accompanied by one parent or guardian.
  • Identity checks might be performed. Please bring a document or ID showing your name, date of birth and address.

In the venue:

  • Wearing a mask is up to each participant’s individual judgement.
  • Please refrain from eating and drinking inside the venue.
  • Participants should sanitize their hands thoroughly and regularly.
  • Please follow staff members’ instructions at all times.

Match etiquette:

  • To allow a pleasant playing experience for all, players are expected to always uphold the rules of the game, and show consideration and integrity towards their opponents.
  • Players should refrain from any behavior that would make their opponent uncomfortable (such as raising one’s voice, insulting them, playing slowly on purpose, etc.).

To all spectators

  • Spectators should stay within the designated watching areas and observe proper etiquette when watching a match, so as not to interfere with the tournament and the matches.
  • Spectators who fail to observe these rules may be asked to leave the premises by a judge or event staff.

Please refrain from entering the venue if any of the following applies to you:

  • People with a fever (37.2°C or higher)
  • People with symptoms such as a sore throat, headache, joint pain, breathing difficulties,coughing, diarrhea, conjunctivitis, loss of smell or taste.
  • We also ask that the elderly and those with chronic illnesses, who are more at risk of severe symptoms, exercise the utmost caution when considering attending the event.
  • People who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • People who were in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • People who are waiting for the results of a PCR test or antigen test for COVID-19.
  • People living with family or close acquaintances who might have COVID-19.
  • People who in the past 2 weeks have traveled to a region on the government’s list of regions subject to denial of entry, or to a region requiring quarantine upon return. Likewise, people who have been in close contact with a resident of such regions.
